OUR HISTORY

1828

Mr. Philippe Lafargue comes to settle in Saint Louis, Senegal.

1860

On the death of his partner Joseph Larrieu, Mr. Lafargue had no descendants and appealed to his nephew, Jean Anselme Delmas (JA Delmas). Together they opened "factories" in Saint Louis and throughout the Senegal River valley.

1912

Jean- Anselme’s son, Philippe acquires the Maurin companies, gives the company its name of Manutention Africaine and adds to their activities the transport of products from the ships arriving from Europe.

1927

Jean Delmas eldest son of Philippe is taken away by the yellow fever in 1920. Thus his brother Pierre second son of Philippe succeeded to him and decides to direct the activities towards the technique of the economic conjuncture of the time by representing Renault.

5 Avril 1932

This is the signature of the General Agreement with CATERPILLAR.

1935-1945

The company passes the difficult course of the war by developing alternative activities in a wide range of fields: construction, bakery, insurance ... and starts in different territories of West Africa.

1959-1960

Year of Independence of West African Countries; The sons of Pierre: Philippe and Ives Delmas gradually take over and the activity is increasingly specialized on CATERPILLAR.

1964

Launch of Manutention Africaine Mali as a Renault and Caterpillar dealer

1975-1990

Acquisition of major concessions in Côte d'Ivoire and MALI

2003

Manutention Africaine-Mali inaugurates its new installations: a 5,600 m² building built on a 3-hectare site. At the same time, the first Component Reconditioning Center (CRC) is established.

2011

Creation of the Cat Rental Store in Mali.
